Eirlume Studio at the Glass Society of Ireland 'Connecting' Exhibition

We’re delighted to be taking part in the Glass Society of Ireland’s Connecting exhibition, our very first time exhibiting with the society and a real milestone for Eirlume Studio.

The exhibition opens on Friday, 2nd August at Jerpoint Glass in Kilkenny, before touring to the National Botanic Gardens in Dublin from 27th October to 1st November. It brings together the work of 45 glass artists across Ireland, exploring the theme of connection, how glass, craft, and creativity can reflect and strengthen the bonds between people, places, and ideas.

For our piece, we created a stained glass lamp inspired by the deep connection we feel with nature. Living and working in Leitrim, we’re lucky to be surrounded by beautiful forest walks, it’s where we go to slow down and reconnect with the natural world. That feeling of peace and grounding became the heart of the piece, a glowing, functional piece of art that brings a bit of the outdoors inside.

We’re thrilled to have our work shown alongside so many of Ireland’s top glass artists and craftspeople, and we can’t wait to see the full exhibition come to life. If you’re around Kilkenny or Dublin while the show’s on, pop in and have a look, it’s full of brilliant work by glass artists from all over Ireland.
