Join us in the Eirlume Studio just outside Ballinamore, Co. Leitrim for an introduction to mosaics workshop. Participants will do chose from a variety of designs or use their own artwork to create a mosaic on a wooden panel. They will learn the direct method of mosaic making by glueing tiles directly to their panel. They’ll learn cutting tiles with tile nipppers, glueing their tiles and finally grouting their panel. They will also learn some mosaic making rules, such as flow and emphasising consistent tile size and spacing (andamento). At the end of the day they will take home a final mosaic panel to hang on their wall or use in their kitchen as a pot rest.
The workshop is suitable for both beginners and intermediate levels. So whether you’re brand new to mosaics or if you’ve been to a previous workshop and would like to further develop your skills, you’re very welcome!

Please bring your own lunch. Only tea, coffee and snacks are available. Lunch break is from 1pm to 2pm.

This workshop has a maximum of eight participants.
If registrations are insufficient, the workshop will be cancelled and your workshop fee will be fully refunded. That said, we fully expect the workshop to go ahead as planned.
If you wish to cancel your place, a refund (minus bank charges) will only be possible if someone else takes your place.
